Understand the provider behind the NPI

Identity, specialty and taxonomy, every practice location, organization details, current NPI status and when the record last changed — assembled from the CMS NPPES dataset and nothing else. No written biographies, no ratings, no invented credentials.

Check federal healthcare exclusions

Search the HHS-OIG List of Excluded Individuals/Entities and SAM.gov federal exclusion records in one workflow. Every result says which source it came from, how current that source is, and exactly which identity fields matched — never an opaque percentage.

Check exclusions

For healthcare organizations

Stop repeating the same checks every month

Upload your staff, provider or vendor roster once. NPISignal reruns the same screening when the source data changes, keeps a permanent record of every run and every decision, and emails you only when something needs a person to look at it.

Built around primary-source data

NPISignal holds a copy of each source and states when that copy was published. It does not aggregate other directories, and it does not write anything about a provider that a source did not publish.

NPISignal is an independent service and is not affiliated with CMS, HHS-OIG, the General Services Administration, or the U.S. government. An NPI does not by itself establish professional licensure or credentialing, and the absence of an exclusion record is not a determination of eligibility.

How monitoring works

See pricing

The same screening the free tools run, kept up to date automatically and recorded well enough to hand to an auditor.

  1. 01

    Upload your roster

CSV or XLSX. NPISignal maps your columns, shows you exactly what will be imported and what will be skipped, and writes nothing until you confirm.

  2. 02

    Records resolve against NPPES

A row carrying an NPI is linked to its NPPES provider. A row without one is screened on the name it was uploaded with — NPISignal suggests providers but never links one on its own.

  3. 03

    Screening runs, and reruns

Every record is checked against HHS-OIG LEIE and SAM.gov. The run repeats on your schedule, and each run keeps the source versions it actually used.

  4. 04

    You review only what changed

A potential match is a lead with the matching fields spelled out. Dismiss one as a different person and it stays dismissed — unless the identity information on either side changes.

  5. 05

    The record is permanent

Every run, every decision and every reviewer is kept. A report generated months later renders the run as it was, not today's data.

Managing a healthcare team?

Screening one person at a time is free and always will be. Monitoring a roster starts at $29 a month.
